What I wish others knew about living with a chronic unseen illness

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidsm when I was 9. I’m now 33. The explanations have never quite rung true. Most people with hypo-T have a hard time losing weight. I was always the opposite. It just never made sense. In the last few days, I’ve read a couple of articles from hypothyroidmom’s site and things are FINALLY starting to make sense. A lot of what’s in these articles is hitting close to home. I don’t know that I need to make changes, I seem to be stable for now. But for anyone who has hypothyroid but isn’t satisfied with the explanations, do a little bit of digging. There’s more to it than we’re told. A lot more. http://bit.ly/1H2hTWv
