UnCommon Bodies

Every once in awhile the literary gods smile upon us lowly editors. Due to a change in circumstances, I’ve been given the opportunity to work with my good friend Pavarti K Tyler as an editor on one of her many projects, UnCommon Bodies. You all know I’m a huge fan of hers, so I’ll read anything she writes and probably love it. I’m looking forward to it on that account, but this project means so much more to me than that alone. Pavarti is one tough bitch (she knows I mean that like most people mean sister or bff). That she even thought of me to edit an anthology she’s in charge of gives me ALL the feels. I would be intimidated, but I know that when we work together we push each other beyond anything we are capable of alone. So I know that working with her in this capacity will be challenging (b/c that’s how us tough bitches roll) and exceptionally rewarding. Too, Pav has exceedingly high expectations of her authors. That she speaks so highly of those in this collection gets me excited all over again, to work with them! I’m looking forward to UnCommon Bodies in more ways than one. I am confident enough to recommend, nay, to urge you to add it to your Goodreads shelf. If I know Pav, it’s not your run of the mill, typical collection of stories. This will undoubtedly be unlike anything else you’ve ever read. It will be, well, UnCommon. So add it to your shelf now, and keep an eye out for its release in November. Also, isn’t that cover something else?! See what I mean? I love it.
